Auction 45s v.2.0.0

Auction 45s is much played among the Irish population in the New World - especially in Nova Scotia, and it is also sometimes called One Hundred and Twenty. It is a trick-taking game with trumps and bidding. The highest trump is the five; second is the jack, third is the A of Hearts, no matter what suit is trump. For black suits, the cards from 2 to 10 rank in reverse of normal order, leading to the saying "highest in red; lowest in black.". You may play the original Forty-five game as well, which is without bidding but trumps determined by an opened deck card.
